Dynamo Kiev 1-2 Inter: Late Goals See Nerazzurri Earn Priceless Victory

Inter jumped to the top spot in Champions League Group F with a courageous 2-1 win away to Dynamo Kiev.



Dynamo Kiev hosted Italian champions Inter in the fourth round of the Champions League Group F, which is emerging as a real group of death. The Nerazzurri needed a victory at all costs to keep alive their hopes of qualifying, after getting only three draws from their first three games.

The Beneamata started the game well, and in the second minute and had his first chance as Diego Milito found Wesley Sneijder inside the area and the Dutchman fired a shot toward the far post that went just wide.

After a good start by the visitors the game became more balanced, and there was no occasion for a while. However, in the 21st minute Dynamo scored almost from scratch, including Inter coconut Andriy Shevchenko fired a shot from the edge of the area was diverted past Julio Cesar Esteban Cambiasso.

For a time, clearly suffered from this setback, but about half an hour he began to win a series of curves. In the 34th minute, Walter Samuel protested an alleged tug on his shirt which prevented him from heading the ball. A minute later there was a very good opportunity for visitors as Samuel Eto'o, Carlos Tevez played a double that was killed by the Argentine striker with a poor shot that was easily caught by goalkeeper Stanislav Bogush.

Dynamo continued beating back blow for blow, and in the 40th minute Shevchenko threatened again with a shot from the edge of the area after a good move, but everything went well.


The first half ended with the Ukrainian side won 1-0 after 45 minutes equaled.
José Mourinho chose to make two changes during the break, bringing in Thiago Motta on Esteban Cambiasso and Mario Balotelli by Christian Chivu, as the Nerazzurri moved to a 4-2-3-1 system with Dejan Stankovic, Balotelli, and behind Milito Eto'o up front.

Inter began the second half with great determination and became more dangerous on several occasions in the first ten minutes. A great opportunity came in the 51st minute when Samuel headed the ball just wide of the post on a free kick from Sneijder.

Initially it appeared that anti Dynamo new visitors, but after a while I had things under control again, and Ninkovic in 61 minutes, a shot from the edge of the area went just wide of the post.

The Nerazzurri responded three minutes later, Eto'o missed a great opportunity in front of the wooden ball near the far post. Luck continued to go against the visitors as a few minutes later Samuel also directed the ball against the post on a free kick from Sneijder.


It was midway between all through the second half and on 70 minutes another golden opportunity was rejected when Balotelli controlled a long ball by Eto'o and fired the ball wide with only Bogush to beat.


Two minutes later, Balotelli played a perfect cross from Eto'o, who attempted a diving header that went wide of the goal, as Inter continued to attack.


The African striker missed a huge opportunity in the 78th minute when he dribbled past two defenders in the area, but incredibly fired the ball over the bar.


Inter found a deserved equalizer seven minutes later, as Sneijder found Milito in the area and the striker beat Bogush with a shot that took a deflection off a defender.


With a minute to go before full time, he even had a winner over Dutch player, who slid the ball into the net after Bogush kept out shots by substitution, Sulley Muntari and Milito.
