Uruguay recall Forlan, Suarez for China, Indonesia





MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay star strikers Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez, who has been based from their international commitments in August, was recalled Friday in the selection process with Indonesia and China in October.

Forlan, voted best player of the World Cup, when Uruguay was fourth, and Suarez, who scored three goals in southern Africa, were appointed in 25 men's team after being left out the game with Angola last month.

Uruguay will face Indonesia in Jakarta on Oct. 8 in Wuhan in China four days later.
Coach Oscar Tabarez also returns to the bench after missing the 2-0 win against Angola has talked about a new contract.

Tabarez, who led Uruguay in the semifinal of World Cup for the first time in 40 years, has negotiated a new four-year agreement.

Uruguay will also play Ireland in Dublin March 29, 2011, as part of their preparation for the America's Cup to be held in Argentina later this year. (AFP)
