Barcelona Star Andres Iniesta: We Play To Win Titles, Not To Silence Our Critics

Iniesta insists that the Catalan outfit don’t let media criticism bother them…

After the landslide victory of Barcelona 5-0 win over Tenerife last night, midfielder Andres Iniesta has emphasized the motivation of his team is to win titles, not silence critics.

"We still believe in the improvement of people to be proud of us. We did not play to close the mouth. We can not stop and think," he said, according to Marca.

Barca entered the game last night against the back of two disappointing results, a home draw against Villarreal and a home defeat against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey. The press have been sharpening their knives after a disappointing opening 30 minutes in which they were lucky not to be late.

"We know that in the beginning of things, the game is not quite right. Maybe we should change this way of playing the game, strengthened a lot, but we have solutions for that, "he said.

The Spanish international has also offered words of encouragement to a young team mate Bojan Krkic, whose performance last night earned a well deserved applause.

"Tenerife was a very complete game, his age and with the talent he has, must be calm and do the things you know.
