"Bargfrede and Hunt have surprised me"

Werder Bremen are currently sitting fourth in the table, having been unbeaten in all competitions since losing their opening league match of the campaign. bundesliga.de spoke with chairman of the board and sporting directo
r Klaus Allofs about the season so far at Werder.

bundesliga.de: Klaus Allofs, how annoying has the break for World Cup qualifiers been for you?

Klaus Allofs:
You're referring to the fact that we're in good form and might have preferred to keep playing through. Sometimes these breaks are timely, sometimes they aren't. We don't get worked up about it one way or another any more. It gives you the chance to get a few injured players closer to a return to action or to work on tactics in even more detail, albeit with a diminished squad. We can live with the breaks.

bundesliga.de:
You can probably live with this one all the better with Werder having only lost one competitive game this season, 3-2 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on matchday 1?
