Terry shocked by transfer ban

Chelsea captain John Terry was left stunned by FIFA's decision to slap a transfer ban on the club until 2011.

The Blues are excluded from the signing of any player during the next two transfer windows after attracting Gael Kakuta of Lens.

The unexpected decision was announced yesterday by FIFA and Chelsea have already confirmed they will launch the "strongest possible action" against the sentence.

"It was a big shock for me and it is very difficult," said Terry. "But it's hard for me to talk about it. I have spoken to the club and have reiterated that I can not talk about it because they are strongly attractive.

"They are appealing and is still in progress from there. Until after the appeal is gone, or another decision was made, I can not say anything."...[source]
