Pique: I want Fabregas at Barca

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has revealed that he wants Arsenal midfielder to join the Catalan giants next summer.

Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain has already gone on record to admit that the reigning European and Spanish champion would benefit greatly from having Fabregas, who led Arsenal de la Barca in 2003 in its ranks.

Speculation about a possible return of Fabregas to the Camp Nou has been rife in recent weeks, the incessant gossip that has infuriated Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

However, Fabregas despite claiming that he is more than happy to stay in north London, Piqué believes the Arsenal captain would be an ideal complement to a midfield that already contains the likes of Andres Iniesta and Xavi.

"The arrival of Cesc Fabregas at Barcelona next season would be very positive," the former Manchester United player, told Onda Cero radio.
