Arsenal and Arsene Wenger have continued the club's summer policy of tying down the Gunners' promising youth and crucial first-teamers by offering Robin van Persie a four-year deal that has today been declared complete.
Van Persie, a left-footed creative forward by nature, enjoyed his most injury-free Premier League campaign last term. In all competitions, he scored 20 times and also accrued 15 assists. One of his most memorable performances was scoring a deuce against London rivals Chelsea in November.
