ACF Fiorentina is an Italian football club based in Florence (Firenze), Tuscany. The club's traditional colors were originally red and white, but were changed to purple and white in 1928 since the club was generally known as "i Viola" (those in purple). The club usually plays at the 47,282-capacity all places "Comunale" Stadium "Artemio Franchi" (known until 1991 as Comunale di Firenze, which itself replaced the "Giovanni Francesco Berta in the 1930s).

The club was founded on 26 August 1926 by the merger of Libertas and Club Sportivo Firenze. The club won its first trophy in 1939/40 with the Coppa Italia and its first Scudetto (Italian championship) in 1955-56, the club were runners in all four seasons. Adrian Mutu Biograpy



Adrian Mutu (born January 8 1979 to Calinesti, Arges) is a Romanian striker and vice-captain of the Romanian national team, he is currently at Fiorentina. Mutu is considered by many as the most talented Romanian player of his generation. In December 2005, and again in December 2006, he received the Romanian Football of the Year title. It is also a free kick specialist.

Mutu has started his professional career with his club FC Argeş Piteşti. He made his debut on March 15 1997 against Otelul Galati. He has to score 11 goals in 41 games before closing of € 600,000 ($ 760,000) transfer to Dinamo Bucharest.....more>>

Biography Luca Toni

Luca Toni (born May 26 1977 in Macclesfield, Modena) is an Italian footballer. He plays as a striker for ACF Fiorentina and the Italian national team. He started his professional career at Modena in 1994. After a good season in Serie B with Treviso in 1999, he moved to Vicenza Calcio, playing in Serie A for the first time. He then moved to Brescia Calcio and played for two seasons alonside Roberto Baggio. He joined Palermo in 2003 and helped the team win a Serie B scoring with thirty goals during the season, therefore, get his first cap for the national team. The following season he scored twenty goals. In July 2005, he was signed from Fiorentina for 10 million €. 7 September 2005 became the first Chelsea player to score a hat-trick for the Italian national team in a World Cup 2006 qualifying match against Belarus (which Italy won 4-1.)

Toni has made a remarkable start the 2005-06 Serie A season and currently leads the Capocannonieri. Luke recently scored in the 4-1 win over Germany in friendly, Alberto Gilardino, Alessandro Del Piero and Daniele De Rossi were the other markers.
